Daiichi Life Insurance Group invests in Challenergy as Part of Its ESG Investment
2019 February 28. An article in Sankei Newspaper reported that the Daiichi Life Insurance Group announced in its website that they decided to invest in Challenergy.
The total amount of investment is 2000 million yen.
As a part of ESG investment, this case is specifically called Impact Investing aimed at generating a beneficial social and environmental impact along a financial return. Challenergy Inc. plans to pour this fund into its R&D division, which is currently working towards the mass-production of the 10kW Magnus VAWT 2020.
Further, Daiichi Life Insurance Group is planning to install the Magnus VAWT for their own use in one of its facilities in the future.
